Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean is a masterpiece of design, fusing bold aesthetics with unmatched functionality.
Why we love it
Omega’s rich maritime legacy forms the foundation of their Seamaster Planet Ocean collection, a line that pays tribute to the brand’s long-standing connection with the diving world. Launched in 2005, the Planet Ocean collection was created to combine technical innovation with the heritage of Omega’s dive watches, dating back to the introduction of the Seamaster in 1948. Their history of crafting high-performance timepieces for professional divers sets them apart, making them a revered name in the industry.
The design of this Planet Ocean 600M is both practical and bold. The black dial features luminescent hour markers and broad arrow hands for high legibility in low-light conditions. Its unidirectional rotating bezel, highlighted by bright orange numerals, enhances its sporty aesthetic while ensuring diving safety. The 45.5 mm stainless steel case, paired with a stainless steel bracelet, provides a durable yet refined presence on the wrist. As a chronograph, the dial features a small seconds sub-dial, a 30-minute recorder at three o’clock, and a 12-hour recorder at six o’clock, all offering clear and legible displays. The central chronograph hand ensures accurate timing, while the date window between four and five o’clock enhances its practicality.
Designed with functionality at its core, this timepiece is equipped for deep-sea exploration, boasting a water resistance of up to 600 metres and featuring a helium escape valve for professional diving environments. This timepiece is powered by their in-house Co-Axial calibre 3313, a certified chronometer offering exceptional precision and reliability, alongside a 52-hour power reserve.
This Omega Planet Ocean 600M 2218.50.00 has scratches on the crystal and caseback. There are scuffs on the bracelet and the clasp of the watch as well.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
