Everything you need in a sport watch packed into a very wearable, handsome-looking timepiece - this Seamaster Planet Ocean is a tour de force by Omega.
Why we love it
Positioned as a function-heavy sport watch, this previous-generation Planet Ocean chronograph features bold aesthetics, more solid wear, and an engaging dial - offering a highly distinguished watch that also perfectly represents the maison's maritime legacy.
Its 45.5mm case is ideal for dressing up; the finely-finished stainless steel case shines with a strong and confident presence on the wrist. Everything on the case is in line with the collection's sporty personality. It features ergonomic knurling on the crown, helium escape valve and pushers, a unidirectional rotating bezel that looks a little extra charming with the bright orange inlay, and the whopping 600-metre dive rating.
While admirably contemporary in wear, this reference 2218.50.00 opts for the conventional horizontal configuration for the chronograph sub-dials. The hour markers and hands are lit up in the dark with the Super Luminova, and the use of orange-hued Arabic numerals to mark the 12, three, six, and nine o'clock hours complements the overall design trope of the watch. In addition to high legibility, practical functionality is optimised with the date aperture between four and five o'clock.
Omega Co-Axial calibre 3313 powers this Planet Ocean. This in-house automatic movement is a certified chronometer offering a useful 52-hour power reserve.
This Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m is in excellent condition, featuring no signs of use.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
