This Seamaster Aqua Terra evokes the power of a sport watch and the sophistication of a dress watch, channelled via a practical GMT function and an elegant form.
Why we love it
In the versatile world of the Seamaster family, you'll find Aqua Terra sitting behind the Planet Ocean and Diver 300M series in the pecking order. But, in all honesty, Aqua Terra is a timepiece that brings the elegance of a dress watch and the practicality of a sport watch in one model. Hence, it deserves much more fanfare than what usually falls into its kitty, and references like this 231.10.44.52.04.001 make this emotion even stronger. This Aqua Terra GMT makes a very tasteful choice for a travel watch that just about anyone could get behind.
Measuring 44mm in diameter, the watch is housed in a steel case with polished chronograph pushers, a knurled crown, and a bi-directional rotating bezel. Under the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal sits the signature Teak Concept dial in white. It carries a beautiful contrast facilitated by grey-hued luminous hour indexes and hands, red-tipped hands indicating different time zones, and a red-coloured GMT script for a meaningful design ethos. In a similar vein, the smooth sub-dials and date window are set against the textured background to drive home the same sense of contrast.
Powering the watch is the Omega calibre 3603; this automatic chronograph movement comes with a column-wheel mechanism and offers a power reserve of 52 hours. Flip the case over, and one is greeted with a beautiful assembly of components that carry details of Omega's brilliant craftsmanship.
Please note this Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M 231.10.44.52.04.001 comes with noticeable nicks on the case, bezel, and caseback. There are a few scuffs on the bracelet and clasp as well.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
