When heightened functionality becomes a part of an iconic design, the result can be unique. This Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra is an ideal example.
Why we love it
The year 2002 heralded the advent of the Seamaster Aqua Terra, which offered a refreshing expression of an iconic collection with a classic Omega look and a contemporary mechanism. It was a progressive design that quickly garnered curiosity and subsequently love from the Omega fans around the globe.
Characterised by a sprinkling of vital technical attributes, this reference 231.20.44.50.06.001 is driven by Omega calibre 3313, an upgraded movement compared to the previous generation, Aqua Terra. It comes equipped with a column-wheel mechanism, a free-sprung balance, and a co-axial escapement. It provides a power reserve of approximately 52 hours to complement your on-the-go lifestyle perfectly.
Other key features include a glistening rose gold bezel, pushers, and the crown mounted on the contrasting silver stainless steel case of 44 mm diameter. Raised indexes, hands, and a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock positions sit atop a striped dial painted in a shade of grey. The sub-registers swell the functionality with running seconds at 9 o’clock, 30-minute at 3, and a 12-hour at 6 o’clock.
A steel and gold bracelet and an exhibition case back complete this Ref. 231.20.44.50.06.001 with additional style.
Overall, this Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 231.20.44.50.06.001 is in very good condition with just a few scratches on the case back.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
