The fine craftsmanship and matchless mechanism prove why this limited edition Omega Seamaster 300 is the favourite watch of the world’s greatest spy – James Bond.
Why we love it
Since the 1995’s Goldeneye, Omega Seamaster has been an irreplaceable choice of timepiece for the world’s greatest spy – James Bond. In 2015, alongside the release of ‘Spectre’, Omega launched a Spectre limited edition Seamaster featuring the same watch that James Bond (Daniel Craig) wears in the movie.
Restricted to only 7, 007 pieces, this Omega Seamaster 300 carries the vintage aesthetics and appeal of the 1957 model. It is rendered in stainless steel with a 41mm round case that sits comfortably on the wrist via smooth lugs. The finish on the case is a mix of brushed and polished shine. Although the Seamaster worn by James Bond in the movie comes with a NATO strap, the Seamster here is paired with a steel bracelet with a folding clasp equipped with a hidden extension.
Surrounding the black dial is a matching black bezel in Omega’s patented Liquidmetal material detailed with a 12-hour scale in lieu of the standard diving 60-minute scale. In addition, the bezel, unlike the other Seamaster 300 models, is bi-directional. Akin to the bezel, the dial too features some novel details. A larger Omega signature takes the place of the12 o’clock marker and the central seconds hand is designed in a lollipop form.
Being a James Bond watch, this Seamaster 300 comes equipped with a highly-precise and reliable automatic movement – calibre 8400 with Co-axial escapement. It is resistant to magnetic fields more than 15,000 gauss and the two mainspring barrels ensure a power reserve of 60 hours. The sapphire crystal case back is complete with fine engravings and a glimpse of the beautifully-executed self-winding movement.
This Omega Seamaster Spectre limited edition is in mint condition with merely one or two scuffs on the clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
