With recognisable design elements borrowed from the original Broad Arrow of 1957, this Speedmaster is refreshingly contemporary and effortlessly appealing.
Why we love it
One of Omega’s linchpins — Speedmaster — began its journey in 1957 with a model called Broad Arrow. In honour of the watch that started it all, the brand relaunched the Broad Arrow circa 2010, remaining loyal to the original design while adding a touch of the 21st century’s signature decadence. With this reference 321.90.42.50.13.001, Omega successfully delivers vintage elements in a contemporary design, as the watch feels modern by all means.
It has a 42mm stainless steel case, touched by rose gold on the crown, pushers, and tachymeter bezel. The lugs feature impressive polished bevelled edges, and overall a brushed finish adorns the case. The dial bears familiarities with the OG model of the ‘57 where gold hour markers sit alongside the minute and second indexes, and the hands carry the identical broad arrow shape. The arrangement of the chronograph counters is also constant; however, a date window has been refreshingly added at six o’clock on this reference.
It is powered by a self-winding chronograph movement, calibre 3313 with column-wheel and Co‑Axial escapement. Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the movement ensures a power reserve of 52 hours.
Please note this pre-owned Omega watch for men carries a hairline scratch on the sapphire crystal glass. Also, there are a few negligible nicks on the caseback, bracelet, and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
