The Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope invites you to step back into the golden era of chronographs, while still enjoying the perks of modern-day craftsmanship.
Why we love it
Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope stands as a tribute to the brand’s illustrious history of the iconic Speedmaster’s aesthetic with inspiration drawn from their 1940s chronograph wristwatches. Encased in a 43mm stainless steel case, this timepiece boasts a silvery dial accented by blackened sub-dials. A black anodised aluminium bezel ring, featuring a tachymeter scale, frames the dial, complementing the blackened leaf-shaped hands and Arabic numerals. Beneath these numerals lies a unique “spiral” track pattern, adding a distinct depth to the dial’s visual presentation.
The highlight of the Chronoscope's design is the trio of printed timing scales in a classic 1940s “snail” arrangement. These include a tachymeter scale for speed, a pulsometer scale for measuring heart rates, and a telemeter scale for determining distance. This meticulous detailing nods to the precision required in mid-century chronographs, setting this timepiece apart as both functional and striking. This watch is presented on a perforated black leather strap with a contrasting red interior, enhancing its sophisticated appearance. It features a small seconds counter at nine o'clock and a combined 60-minute and 12-hour recorder at three o'clock, both elegantly displayed with black and red accents.
At the heart of this timepiece is the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 9908 certified by METAS. This calibre ensures a power reserve of up to 60 hours and also incorporates a column-wheel mechanism and a vertical clutch, emphasising reliability in chronograph performance.
This Omega Speedmaster Two Counters Chronoscope 329.32.43.51.02.001 has minor scratches and dents on the case and caseback. Yet, it is in very good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
