In 2003, Omega unveiled this Speedmaster Professional "Snoopy Award" Edition, reference 3578.51.00, to commemorate the brand's pivotal role in the Apollo 13 mission and its subsequent receipt of NASA's Silver Snoopy Award in 1970. This accolade honoured Omega's Speedmaster chronograph for its critical function in ensuring the astronauts' safe return to Earth following a spacecraft malfunction.
This watch showcases a 42mm stainless steel case with the iconic twisted lugs, maintaining the classic Speedmaster aesthetic. Its black dial is adorned with white baton hands and features a unique detail: the "Eyes on the Stars" Snoopy emblem prominently displayed on the nine o'clock sub-dial. This playful yet meaningful addition pays tribute to the watch's space heritage. Protecting the dial is a hesalite crystal, a material historically used in Speedmaster models that ventured to the Moon.

What you should know
This Omega Speedmaster Snoopy Edition 3578.51.00 has minor nicks on the crystal and caseback. The bracelet and clasp have scuffs too. Yet, it is in very good condition.
