Watch the Italian design sensibility and Swiss watchmaking unfold before you with Panerai Luminor.
Why we love it
Discontinued in 2020, this Panerai Luminor PAM00441 continues to keep paneristis(Panerai fans) wanting more. Now, if you know the golden rule of building a unique watch collection, it is— the rarer the timepiece, the better it is.
This substantial 44mm watch is the definition of ‘rugged yet sophisticated’. Sporting a sturdy ceramic body, the case paves the way for the brand’s signature luminescent sandwich dial—one dial with cut-outs stacked atop a luminescent disk. It features Arabic hour markers, hands, a date window at three o’clock, and a small seconds counter, all displaying high luminosity. It is an excellent travel companion as the arrow-tipped hand helps you navigate another time zone with its GMT function.
Its skeletonised sapphire crystal caseback shows the in-house calibre P.9001 based on the manifattura design of the 6152 launched in 1950. It generates a healthy power reserve of three days and beats at a frequency of 28,800vph. Additionally, the watch has a protected crown and is water-resistant at 100m. It is a watch that blurs the line between a dress and a sports watch due to its bold yet clean visual appeal. The handsome brown leather strap can also be switched with the additional rubber strap, as per convenience.
Overall, the watch is in very good condition. Its leather strap is soiled with signs of use. This Panerai Luminor comes with an additional rubber strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
