This Panerai Luminor Chrono is a winner with a well-balanced black dial, ergonomic chronograph pushers, and unmistakable wrist presence.
Why we love it
2021 saw the unveiling of a special Panerai Luminor that instantly captured the intrigue of house patrons and watch enthusiasts. The watch adopted the classic, celebrated design of the Luminor and added the chronograph complication to make the timepiece more purposeful.
Housed in the signature cushion-shaped stainless steel case measuring 44mm wide, the Luminor Chrono carries a subtle mix of brushed and polished surfaces that evoke a sense of sophistication. Fitted to the case on the right is another characteristic element – the crown lock and offering it unrestrained visibility are the chronograph pushers that have been smartly placed on the left.
The dial also carries the familiar sandwich construction that strengthens the luminosity of the hour markers. It features sub-counters at three and nine measuring 30-minute and running seconds, along with a tachymeter scale on the rehaut. In addition to the brand and collection name, the dial is detailed with a ‘Chronograph’ script above six o’clock, emphasising a complication not commonly found in Panerai watches. Powering this Luminor Chrono is the in-house calibre P.9200 with 42 hours of power autonomy.
While the leather strap shows a satisfactory form, the rest of the watch boasts a very good pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
