The classic Panerai design gets a tasteful touch with details celebrating the collection’s rich heritage in this understated Radiomir S.L.C.
Why we love it
With its cushion-shaped steel case, the highly-luminous sandwich-style dial, and the missing crown guard, this reference PAM00425 is most definitely a Panerai Radiomir. It is, however, the unique details nodding to the watch’s rich legacy that set it apart. The watch is christened Radiomir S. L. C. after Siluro a Lento Corsa, the slow-speed torpedo used by the commandos of the Royal Italian Navy for underwater missions. Aptly, the dial on this watch carries a striking depiction of a torpedo on its dial in a very tasteful tone-on-tone fashion and S.L.C. engravings on the flange.
The neat and streamlined layout of the dial includes a combination of index and dot hour makers, the signature script, and luminous hands. It’s sparse but very elegant. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, one can admire the hand-wound calibre P.3000. With a beat rate of 21,600 vibrations/hour, 161 components, and an Incabloc® anti-shock device, this mechanical movement promises unfaltering precision, whereas the assembly of two barrels allow a power autonomy of three days.
What you should know
This Panerai Radiomir S. L. C. PAM00425 is in very good condition, featuring no scratches and a firm leather strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
