The ergonomic spirit of Panerai is underscored by an elegant appeal in this limited-edition Submersible Bronzo, featuring a 42mm bronze case.
Why we love it
A cushion case, a crown lock, a robust strap, a highly luminous dial, and a sporty undertone. When it comes to Panerai watches, these features are characteristically the touchstones. This 2021-released Submersible Bronzo concurs with the notion but in a refreshing way. Historically, Panerai watches have been substantially sized, but this example goes against the grain with a 42mm case, finally making the fans of the brand with slender wrists feel acknowledged.
The Bronzo, as the name suggests, is rendered in bronze - a material growing in prominence among watchmakers, especially for use in diving watches, much like this Submersible. It's bronze's natural character to patinate, resulting in the darkening of the surface. Interestingly, the patina does not represent the material's decomposition but is just an upper layer that protects the layer underneath from further corrosion. As aforementioned, this Submersible features all the signature elements of a Panerai watch in addition to a diver's rotating bezel. Unlike its 2019 predecessor, this watch carries a bronze bezel creating a monochromatic look. Along with luminous markers and hands, this reference profiles a date window and a small-seconds subdial on the Blu Abisso dial.
The automatic calibre P.900 powering this watch has been a trusted auxiliary of the Submersible family. It comprises 171 components and 23 jewels whose glimpses can be seen from the exhibition window of the titanium caseback. This self-winding calibre comes with three days of power reserve facilitated by a single barrel.
This Panerai Submersible Bronzo Blu Abisso comes from a limited edition of 1000 pieces. It promises a very good pre-owned condition. There is a slightly visible patina on the case and clasp that gives the watch a unique look.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
