Why we love it
Founded in 1996 by Michel Parmigiani, Parmigiani Fleurier has carved a niche in the luxury watch industry, renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship and innovative designs. The Tonda Metrographe, introduced in 2014, exemplifies the brand’s commitment to blending traditional watchmaking with modern aesthetics. The watch features a polished stainless steel case that complements its striking blue dial. The dial includes three subsidiary dials: a minute counter and an hour counter at nine o'clock and six o'clock, respectively, forming a distinct "8" shape that adds to the watch's unique design. The third sub-dial at three o'clock serves as a running seconds indicator, tracking time through two scales, further enhancing the dial's functionality and Parmigiani Fleurier’s avant-garde approach to design. This watch incorporates applied rhodium-plated hour markers filled with luminous material along with the hour and minute hands complementing the overall design and practicality. An elongated date window below the 12 o'clock mark adds functional elements without detracting from the watch's elegant appearance.
The chronograph function is seamlessly integrated, featuring a large central second's counterhand and two sub-dials for timing functions, all designed to maintain the balance and harmony of the dial. The overall aesthetic is further refined by the fine-printed minutes and seconds track, which adds depth to the dial while keeping the look uncluttered. Its unique design elements and attention to detail make it a standout choice for those who appreciate the fusion of artistry and functionality in luxury watchmaking.
The watch is driven by the PF315 automatic chronograph movement, delivering a 42-hour power reserve. Its 22-karat gold rotor is exquisitely decorated with a Grain d’orge guilloché pattern. The sapphire crystal caseback offers a clear view of the movement, revealing the elegant Côtes de Genève pattern and delicate perlage finishing.
This Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Metrographe PFC274-0002500-XC1442 shows light scratches on the case and caseback. The clasp has some scuffs, while the leather strap is in satisfactory condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
