Step into the world of horological excellence with the Nautilus, a timeless blend of luxury and innovation that redefines what it means to wear a masterpiece on your wrist.
Why we love it
The Nautilus, originally launched in 1976, has maintained its status as one of the most sought-after timepieces globally. This pinnacle of luxury sports watches continues to evolve with this reference boasting practical complications such as an annual calendar and a captivating moon phase complication. The watch’s refined grey and black tones enhance its versatility, making it equally suitable for casual and formal occasions.
One of the most prominent features of the Nautilus watch is its distinct octagonal case, a signature of designer Gerald Genta that has adorned various legendary timepieces. It is said that this unique form was inspired by the porthole of a submarine. The Nautilus showcases an eye-catching bezel, enhanced by notable 'ears' on either side of the case. One of these ears acts as a hinge, while the other ensures a secure closure.
Flipping the watch reveals a stunning transparent sapphire caseback, which provides a view of the intricate workings that drive this exceptional piece of horological art. Powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre 26‑330 S QA LU 24H/441, it fuels advanced functions including an annual calendar with indicators for both day and month. Additionally, it features complications for the date and moon phases, highlighting the exquisite craftsmanship and precision involved in its creation.

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
