Made from scratch-resistant, high-tech ceramic material with a powerful monotone look, this sophisticated D-Star from Rado is more than what meets the eyes.
Why we love it
A modern reinterpretation of the Diastar 1, Rado D-Star is an elegant timepiece that exudes an unpretentious, streamlined look. With its design and aura rooted in simplicity, D-Star complements the varying predilections of patrons. It’s an eyeful that you can take from the boardroom to dinner parties and everything in between.
This Rado D-Star R15760112 is a sophisticated time-date model with a minimalist, sombre colour arrangement, forwarding the watch’s subtle appeal. The 100-metre water-resistant case is 42 mm in diameter; however, it doesn’t look very bulky on the wrist as the domed-shaped sapphire crystal that shields the dial creates an illusion of thickness. Even with the comparatively simpler look, this Ref. R15760112 is quite luxurious to wear thanks to the slim, applied indexes shimmering against the grey backdrop that garners attention. The integration of the date is also thoughtfully done at 6 o’clock position in a petite, squared window.
It is constructed using Rado's high-tech ceramic material, ensuring that the body of the watch – the case as well as the bracelet – is completely scratch-resistant. The movement used is Rado Calibre 658 based on ETA 2824-2, often used in many high-end watches. This automatic movement, visible through the sapphire case back, comes kitted with a 38-hour power reserve. With an easy-to-wear functionality and an understated look, this classic Rado watch will make a charming addition to any collection.
Overall, the condition of this Rado D-Star is excellent, with very minor scratches on the case back and the clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
