This Raymond Weil Don Giovanni Cosi Grande reinvents time-telling with its fun and gripping jumping hour display. Never has time reading been this easy!
Why we love it
The appeal of this Don Giovanni Cosi Grande from Raymond Weil lies in its classically elegant personality and mechanical ingenuity. The watch, manifesting an innovative approach to luxury watchmaking, was one of the participating watches in the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve 2009 edition. Encased by a lush 18k rose gold case, the dial takes centre stage with its jumping hour display. This unique time-telling method eliminates the presence of the hour hand on the dial. Flaring gold indices populate the surface with a touch of contemporary style, while the seconds sub-dial occupy the six o'clock position. Neatly aligned outer minute track and the brand signature at the bottom, together with a contrast of black and gold hues, make the dial quite handsome.
The interesting jumping hour display is facilitated by the mechanical movement RW 1400. This self-winding calibre beats at a rate of 28,800bph and promises a power autonomy of 42 hours. The stunning finish on the movement can be seen through the exhibition caseback.
What you should know

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
