This Roger Dubuis Excalibur advances its singular vision of contemporary watchmaking by combining elevated engineering with compelling craftsmanship.
Why we love it
Ingenuity and the house’s avant-garde engineering mark this Excalibur EX45-77-90-00/01 R00/B, with pairings of dominating elements, a reliable mechanism, and appealing aesthetics advancing a balanced approach to modern watchmaking.
This eye-catching Roger Dubuis features a stainless steel case that measures 45mm across. With ridged steel bezel, three lugs, and the knurled crown flanked by metal guards, one can immediately identify this as the Excalibur — the house’s most coveted collection. On the white dial, bold, contrasting Roman numerals create an engaging vision juxtaposed with shapely hands. The minute scale on the outer chapter ring and the running seconds sub-dial at nine are in tune with the monochrome mien of the dial.
The power is supplied by an automatic movement — calibre RD77. The house's signature micro-rotor and the Hallmark of Geneva can be seen through the open caseback. It is composed of 171 parts and 29 jewels and is decorated with the Côtes de Genève pattern. It promises a power reserve of 48 hours.
This Roger Dubuis Excalibur EX45-77-90-00/01 R00/B comes from a limited edition of 888 watches. It shows a few noticeable scratches on the buckle, however overall it is in good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
