Flaunting a quintessential Rolex look, this Air-King, which has long been under the radar, is now ready to come to light with its outstanding design and impeccable performance.
Why we love it
Rolex has demonstrated its mastery in crafting timepieces that transcend seasons with their timeless appeal, satisfying even the most discerning watch enthusiasts with their unmatched watchmaking prowess. A prime example of this is the Rolex Air-King - a significant linchpin of Rolex's aeronautical heritage. If you prefer your Rolex with a touch of colour and added character while still retaining the brand's understated aesthetics, then look no further than this timepiece. Introduced in 2016, the reference 116900 seamlessly combines elegant style with unique details.
In terms of construction, the Air-King is a robust timepiece armed with impressive design elements. With a diameter of 40mm, this reference commands attention on the wrist with its subtle yet dominating presence. The stainless steel body, coupled with well-defined lugs and the crown, further enhances its luxurious appeal. The black dial features the iconic configuration of Arabic hour markers at three, six, and nine o'clock positions, along with bold numerals for the minute scale, aiding in navigational time reading.
Powering the Air-King is the renowned Rolex calibre 3131, a self-winding movement boasting a 48-hour power reserve and operating at 28,800vph, ensuring reliable timekeeping. Lastly, the watch has an impressive water resistance of 100 metres.
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
