Built for those who push limits, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is a motorsport icon transformed into a timeless symbol of luxury and performance.
Why we love it
Initially created for the world of motorsport, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona exemplifies the brand's dedication to innovation and quality.
Its blend of innovative technology and elegant design sets it apart in the luxury watch segment. The 116500 series, unveiled at the 2016 Baselworld Watch Fair, has become a benchmark for precision timing and performance. Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case, the watch features an eye-catching black dial that contrasts elegantly with white snailed counters. The luminous hour markers and hands, crafted from 18-carat gold and treated with Chromalight, guarantee excellent legibility, whether on the racetrack or in daily life. The black Cerachrom bezel not only enhances its sporty appeal but also incorporates an engraved tachymetric scale.
Beneath its sleek exterior, this watch is powered by a robust automatic chronograph movement, offering around 72 hours of power reserve and a water resistance rating of up to 100 metres. The Daytona's Oyster bracelet, with its polished centre links, adds a touch of sophistication while the Easylink extension provides practical comfort for wearers. With its harmonious blend of functionality and elegance, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona remains a highly sought-after timepiece for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
What you should know

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
