This Rolex Datejust keeps things appropriately elegant and classic with an appealing two-tone construction and a versatile 36mm size. It’s an elevated timepiece with an everyday appeal!
Why we love it
This charming vintage Datejust proudly offers one of the most luxurious expressions of a significant Rolex aesthetic — the two-tone construction. Measuring a versatile 36mm in width, this Datejust 16013 is executed in stainless steel and 18k yellow gold featuring a beautiful blend of polished and brushed finish throughout the front and a thoroughly brushed profile on the caseback. Although the design has been updated and modernised gradually over the years, Datejust retains elements that make it iconic and instantly recognisable. On this reference, a yellow fluted bezel sits atop the case, and the champagne dial is focused on providing high legibility and elegance. Its applied indexes and slender hands feature attention to detail, while the coronet insignia at 12 and the date window at three provide signature accents.
In terms of functionality, this Rolex watch is powered by the automatic calibre 3035. The reference 16013 was the first watch to come equipped with this movement that replaced the calibres 1565 and 1575, used in earlier Datejust watches. This calibre has a beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and is composed of 27 jewels. In addition to the quickset date function, it offers 42 hours of power autonomy.
What you should know
This Rolex Datejust 16013-CHMJUB bears a few minor scuffs on the case, caseback, and clasp but overall boasts a good, pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
