Produced in 1967, this Rolex Datejust is a vintage collector's dream come true!
Why we love it
Step into the timeless elegance of this Rolex Datejust 36 reference 1603, a vintage masterpiece hailing from the production year of 1967. This exquisite timepiece boasts an automatic 1570 calibre, ensuring precision timekeeping with a 40-hour power reserve. The watch features a classic plexiglass instead of the modern sapphire crystal that adds to its vintage appeal.
Admire the intricate details of the linen sigma dial adorned with sleek indexes and luminous hands. The magnified date window at three o'clock adds practicality. The engine-turned steel bezel, a hallmark feature of this model, exudes sophistication and refinement. Interestingly, the last model to ever feature this kind of bezel was the Oyster Perpetual Date reference 115210, before a more polished and neater fluted bezel replaced the rugged appeal of the engine-turned bezel.
This Rolex Datejust 36 comes with a non-branded but well-preserved leather strap offering a comfortable fit for everyday wear. A true collector's gem, this timepiece combines historical significance with timeless style, making it a coveted addition to any watch enthusiast's collection.
Showing natural signs of ageing, this Rolex Datejust 1603 exhibits light scratches on the case, caseback, and buckle. Please note that the strap is non-branded.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
