Though no longer in production, this valuable gem from Rolex still reigns over the hearts of so many patrons who love its simultaneously understated and lavish personality.
Why we love it
Although discontinued, Datejust II holds a strong standing amongst the litany of iconic models that are now available only in the pre-owned market. Its elegant appeal combined with a soupcon of sporty style makes it much sought-after even today. This reference 116333 is a definite crowd-pleaser with all the hallmarks of a textbook Rolex Datejust. Its Rolesor body, rendered in stainless steel and yellow gold, measures 41mm in width. Of course, the characteristic fluted bezel sits atop the case, ensuring a recognisable look.
Much like the case, the dial of this reference is unmistakably Datejust, offering uncompromised legibility. It is housed by diamond hour markers and slim hands, all filled with luminous material. A coronet logo is positioned at 12 o’clock, while the date window sits characteristically at three.
Behind the solid caseback is the calibre 3136 with a quickset date function. It’s a COSC-certified automatic movement with a power autonomy of 48 hours. Rolex Datejust is such an iconic timepiece for a reason, and this Datejust II’s charm is so appealing, with just the right amount of style and function to keep you loving it for decades to come.
This Rolex Datejust II 116333-WHT10BR shows overall great pre-owned condition with just a few marks on the Cylops lens shielding the date aperture.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
