The novel details that make this Datejust a treat to look at yield a highly charming timepiece with a visual harmony that takes the collection's elegant legacy beautifully forward.
Why we love it
Introduced in 2017, the Datejust reference 126300 sets down the growing evolution within the Datejust line, where technical details are paramount, but so is the aesthetic appeal. The kind of transition Rolex has endowed Datejust with seems to be focused on getting classier with mechanical refinement. This reference, released on the heels of Datejust II, was the first 41mm monotone model with a smooth bezel.
However, once you look past these novel elements, the signature Datejust details flourish - a fluid silhouette, elegant curves, tapered lugs, and a signed crown. Worked up in stainless steel featuring a screw-down caseback that ensures 100m water resistance and an Oyster bracelet, the watch gives a certain sporty feel while still being appropriately dressy.
A healthy dose of legibility and elegance is conspicuous on the dial, featuring Roman numeral hour markers. The date aperture is stationed characteristically at three. With a neatly placed minute scale on the contour and the signature script below 12 o'clock, the dial is clean with no excessive flair.
This Rolex Datejust uses COSC-certified calibre 3235, an automatic movement with the patented Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock protection system. It promises a 70-hour power reserve.
Please note this Rolex Datejust bears noticeable nicks on the case, caseback, bracelet, and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
