A breathtaking Rolex timepiece with a straightforward day and date complication to take you from board meetings to black-tie events effortlessly.
Why we love it
When luxurious creations blend with the ease of use, the results are astounding. This notion is best manifested in Rolex Day-Date, where a luxe, elegant design is paired with a unique calendar functionality to make time and date reading a breeze. The collection was released in 1956, and this particular reference 18038 was introduced in 1978 as the next generation Day-Date.
Crafted from lustrous 18k yellow gold and sized at an optimal 36mm, this watch offers an understated yet statement-worthy design. Its charm is balanced with a classic Rolex sensibility, showcased through a refined champagne dial featuring slender index markers and three hands. The day aperture at 12 o'clock adds unique style and functionality, complemented by a date window at three o'clock. A fluted bezel, signed crown, and leather strap complete the elegant and cohesive design of the timepiece.
The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal shielding the dial and the automatic movement make this Rolex Day-Date as utilitarian as it is appealing.
Please note that this Rolex Day-Date 18038 has scratches on the case and caseback. The buckle is in fair condition and the watch is held together by a non-branded leather strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
