This is an elaborate video of the actual Rolex on sale at Second Movement, shot by our photographers in our in-house video lab.
We do not use stock videos or images
This charming Rolex timepiece comes with a straightforward day and date complication and diamond markers that make it appealing and utilitarian at once.
Why we love it
When luxurious creations blend with the ease of use, the result is astounding. And nowhere it is more true than in Rolex Day-Date, where a luxe, elegant design is paired with a unique calendar functionality to make time and date-reading a breeze. The collection was released in 1956, and this particular reference 18238 is simply mesmerising.
With a lustrous 18k yellow gold case sized optimally at 36mm, we feel the watch has an understated design that is well-suited for anyone looking for a statement timepiece that is not overpowering. Imbued with a contemporary charm, this reference at its core has a classic Rolex sensibility to it facilitated by a put-together champagne dial. The legible dial features beautifully-cut diamond markers and three hands. The day aperture at noon adds both unique style and functionality, while the conventional date window at three o'clock set an elegant tone, which is further elevated by a fluted bezel and a signed crown. A signature President bracelet and the automatic movement make this Rolex Day-Date appealing and utilitarian at once.
What you should know
This Rolex Day-Date arrives in excellent pre-owned condition with just a few nicks on the bracelet.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
