Meant to highlight singularity and draw spectators, this Rolex Day-Date II comes with a 41mm case and a beguiling brown dial for a knockout look!
Why we love it
When luxurious creations blend with the ease of use, the results are astounding. And this notion is best manifested in Rolex Day-Date, where a luxe, elegant design is paired with a unique calendar functionality to make time and date reading a breeze. The collection was released in 1956, and this particular reference 218235 is a now-discontinued version of line called the Day-Date II.
Rolex released the Day-Date II series in 2008 as a bigger model of a watch that had characteristically been 36mm for the majority of its life. It was a substantial 41mm timepiece that looked a bit more statement for every day but was perfect in elevating looks for after-dark spins. In 2015, however, the house replaced this gorgeous timepiece with the Day-Date 40mm we know today.
Imbued with a contemporary charm, this reference 218235 at its core has a classic Rolex sensibility to it facilitated by a lustrous everose gold case and a put-together brown dial. The legible dial features applied Roman numeral markers and three hands. The day aperture at 12 o’clock adds both unique style and functionality, while the date window and the fluted bezel set an elegant, recognisable tone. A signature President bracelet completes the overall design.
The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal shielding the dial and the automatic calibre 3156 make this Rolex Day-Date as utilitarian as it is appealing.
This Rolex Day-Date II 218235 is in good pre-owned condition, with some visible scratches on the sapphire crystal glass.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
