This charming Rolex timepiece, with a straightforward day and date complication and an impressive white dial, takes you from board meetings to black-tie events effortlessly.
Why we love it
When luxurious creations blend with ease of use, the results are astounding. And this notion is best manifested in Rolex Day-Date, where a luxe, elegant design is paired with a unique calendar functionality to make time and date reading a breeze. The collection was released in 1956, and this particular reference 228345RBR is absolutely mesmerising.
With a lustrous Everose gold case sized at 40mm, we feel the watch has an understated design that is well-suited for anyone looking for a statement timepiece that is not overpowering. Imbued with a contemporary charm, this 228345RBR at its core has a classic Rolex sensibility to it facilitated by a put-together white dial. The legible dial features applied Roman numeral and index markers with three hands. The day aperture at 12 o'clock adds both unique style and functionality, while conventional decorations such as the date window at three o'clock set an elegant tone, which is further elevated by a diamond-set bezel and a signed crown. A signature President bracelet completes the overall design.
The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal shielding the dial and the automatic calibre 3255 make this Rolex Day-Date as utilitarian as it is appealing.
This Rolex Day-Date 228345RBR has minor nicks on the crystal, bezel, and case. The caseback, bracelet, and clasp have scuffs as well. Yet, it is in very good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
