Stay ready for anything, from discovering mountain tops to nailing boardroom style, with this Rolex Explorer II in a 42mm case featuring impressive aesthetical nuances.
Why we love it
This 2011-launched 216570 is a previous-generation Rolex Explorer II in production until 2021 when the house released the new reference 226570. It comes with a recognisable design aesthetic and a powerful calibre, which was a complete novelty at the time of the watch's release. Yet, the watch remains one of the most underrated models in Rolex's catalogue.
The calibre 3187 was introduced with this reference. It's a superior automatic movement featuring 31 jewels, a blue Parachrom hairspring, the Paraflex shock absorbers, and 48 hours of power reserve. This timepiece comes with a distinctive black dial contrasted by luminous hour markers and hands, a bright orange hand for the second time zone, and a date aperture at three o'clock.
The stainless steel construction with a 42mm case and an Oyster bracelet maintains the signature Rolex aesthetics, as does the 24-hour bezel, all decked in a fine brushed finish. In addition to being a functional timepiece that'll take you through your jet-set lifestyle stylishly, it also serves as a classy dress watch that'll help nail your work looks effortlessly.
This Rolex Explorer II 216570 is in mint condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
