Embark on a journey to the unknown and never lose track of time(zones) with Explorer II leading the way!
Why we love it
Did you know that this Rolex is highly popular with speleologists (researchers of caves), volcanologists, and polar explorers? As the name suggests, this Rolex is made for explorers, especially the ones embarking on journeys where lights remain dim and polar regions where the sun does not set. Reference 226570 was unveiled in 2021 on the 50th anniversary of the original Explorer II's launch in 1971. Though technologically superior, it keeps the essence of the original timepiece intact.
This 42mm Explorer II features a black dial equipped with Chromalight hands and index markers, providing excellent legibility in the dark. To make sure that you don't forget what day it is on your expeditions, it has a Cyclops-lensed date display at three o'clock. It also boasts a 24-hour fixed bezel that helps you distinguish day from night while also serving as the practical GMT function using the independent setting of the hour hand. The Oystersteel body and a robust sapphire crystal will help you get through the roughest environments unscathed. Additionally, it is water resistant up to 100 metres. This watch is powered by a self-winding calibre 3285, generating a reserve of approximately 70 hours.

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
