A compendium of the signature Rolex opulence and the ruggedness of Explorer, this bold timepiece casts a unique experience on the wrist.
Why we love it
In 2021, Rolex surprised everyone by presenting the Explorer in a totally unexpected style. Although it shared most details of the previous models, this new reference 124273 looked more luxurious and had a more classic Rolex look thanks to the signature Rolesor construction - a combination of steel and gold. It was a first for Explorer - a sports watch that had been quite straightforward and function-driven throughout its history.
The case measures 36mm in diameter, a size most preferred for Explorer watches. While most of the expanse is steel, touches of yellow gold are found on the smooth bezel, screw-down crown, and bracelet links - in the signature Rolex fashion. The black dial on this watch is designed traditionally with Chromalight powering the hour markers and Mercedes hands.
The in-house automatic calibre 3230, at the time a newly released movement, is equipped with signature Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. It provides approximately 70 hours of power reserve once fully wound.
This Rolex Explorer m124273-BLKIND bears noticeable nicks on the case and bezel. Also, there are some visible scratches on the bracelet and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
