From a lab to a factory and from a desk to a bar, this Rolex Milgauss is a watch that you can always count on!
Why we love it
One of the first wristwatches capable of enduring high magnetic fields, the Rolex Milgauss is a scientific wonder expressed in the form of a timepiece. It was discontinued in 1988 only to be relaunched in 2007 with this reference 116400GV.
This Milgauss 116400GV is an eyeful presenting a juxtaposition of subtle and dramatic themes. The case design of this watch is balanced with clean lines and smooth curves rendered in stainless steel. The muted bells and whistles of the case include a polished bezel, a notable crown signed with the brand logo, and a solid case back. The tranquillity of the case is pleasingly disturbed by a characterful dial featuring a number of hues. The orange lightning bolt seconds hand is the first to catch attention, followed by contrastingly-hued markers and hands sitting atop a black dial.
While the calibre 3131 ensures time-reading is a breeze on this Rolex watch, a unique shield under the case protects the movement against the effects of magnetic fields. Also, this automatic movement provides a 48-hour power reserve, and the robust 40mm case renders the watch water-resistant up to 100 metres.
Please note there are minor nicks on the caseback of this Rolex Milgauss 116400GV. In addition, a few light scuffs are present on the bracelet and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
