Rolex sets the bar really high with this Sea-Dweller featuring a sizable 43mm case, a whopping 1220-metre water resistance and a highly precise automatic movement. An indomitable watchmaking wonder!
Why we love it
This Rolex reference 126600 was launched in 2017 on the 50th anniversary of the Sea-Dweller. It deviates from the longstanding 40mm size associated with Sea-Dwellers and takes on a bigger and bolder 43mm case. Nicknamed “Sea-Dweller 43” due to its size, its presence on your wrist cannot go unnoticed.
This iteration is made in Oystersteel—highly resistant to corrosion and features an intense black dial bearing bold Chromalight indices and large hands for excellent legibility in the dark. It has a cyclops-lensed date window at three o’clock topped with a unidirectional Cerachrom bezel, featuring a black ceramic insert.
To ensure the crystal does not crack under high pressure, this timepiece has a gas escape valve to keep even the tiniest helium atoms at bay. The bracelet is equipped with an Oysterlock clasp to prevent accidental opening, and a Glidelock to comfortably wear the watch over the divesuit. This watch showcases a self-winding calibre 3235 generating a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and has a water resistance rating of a whopping 1220m.
This Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600-BLKIND has minor nicks on the caseback, bracelet, and clasp. Yet, it is in very good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
