Commanding in presence and precise in performance, the Sea-Dweller embodies Rolex excellence.
Why we love it
Originally launched in the 1960s, the Sea-Dweller collection was designed to cater to professional divers, offering greater depth capabilities than the Submariner. The 126600, introduced in 2017 as the 50th Anniversary model of the Sea-Dweller, marked a pivotal moment for Rolex. This model replaced the previous Sea-Dweller 4000 and brought several updates that redefined the collection. The most noticeable change is the increase in case size from 40mm to 43mm, which enhances its proportion and provides a distinct presence on the wrist. It was the first Sea-Dweller to feature a Cyclops lens over the date window, a characteristic unique to Rolex that sparked debate among enthusiasts due to its departure from previous Sea-Dweller models.
This watch is powered by the updated calibre 3235, which incorporates Rolex's latest Chronergy escapement, providing greater precision and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The watch is water-resistant up to 1,220 metres (4,000 feet), maintaining its reputation as a robust diver's watch. Its bracelet has been redesigned to be wider, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit.
Additionally, the 126600 pays homage to its heritage with the red “Sea-Dweller” text on the dial, echoing the original 1967 model. This combination of advanced technology and historical tribute makes the Sea-Dweller 126600 a noteworthy addition to Rolex's collection, appealing to both professional divers and watch enthusiasts alike.

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
