“No Date” Submariner captures the spirit of exploration with a minimalist elegance that defies the depths.
Why we love it
Introduced in 1953 and officially unveiled at the Basel Watch Fair in 1954, the Submariner was created as a tool watch for professional divers. It quickly gained acclaim for its robust construction, exceptional water resistance, and straightforward design. From its inception, the Submariner was built to perform under the most demanding conditions, making it a favourite among divers and adventurers. The Rolex Submariner 114060, also known as the "No Date" Submariner, is a modern interpretation of the original design, retaining the essence of the classic model. This watch stands out by forgoing the date window found on many Rolex models. This watch is housed in a 40mm Oyster case made of 904L stainless steel and is water-resistant up to 300 metres. The bezel crafted from Cerachrom is a proprietary ceramic material developed by Rolex that is virtually scratchproof and resistant to UV rays, ensuring that the watch maintains its aesthetic appeal over time.
Inside, the Submariner 114060 is powered by the Rolex calibre 3130, a self-winding mechanical movement. As a certified Swiss chronometer, this calibre meets the stringent standards set by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), underscoring Rolex's commitment to excellence.

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
