This reference brings a cool sensibility to the elegant, functional Submariner line with its captivating blue dial, while charming steel and gold construction recall the signature Rolex design trope.
Why we love it
The iconic Submariner is the paradigm of what makes Rolex the king of luxury Swiss watches. Every iteration and update ever produced has been a hit amongst patrons. Perhaps, this is why any discontinued Submariner finds pride of place in the pre-owned market, so much so that most of such models appreciate in value over the years than otherwise.
This reference 116613 takes Submariner's celebrated legacy a step further. The 40mm case is ideal for multiple wrist sizes and is quite modern with respect to the aesthetic elements on offer. From the ceramic bezel insert to Rolesor construction, there is no mistaking this watch for anything but a Rolex. This Submariner differs from the newer models only in size and movement. It is powered by automatic calibre 3135, equipped with proprietary antimagnetic Parachrom hairspring. It guarantees a power reserve of 48 hours.
But the biggest highlight of this Submariner 116613LB is the electric blue shade that blankets the unidirectional bezel and the dial. This unique colour delivers more than just aesthetic value. It elevates the watch's overall legibility by creating a subtle contrast with the touches of gold. Other elements that enhance the watch's legibility are luminous Mercedes hands and indexes. Lastly, this Submariner comes also comes with a date aperture.
This Rolex Submariner 116613LB bears visible dents on the sapphire crystal glass and light scratches on the case and bracelet.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
