While keeping the classic elements of the Submariner, this variation introduces subtle upgrades to its aesthetics and movement.
Why we love it
It wouldn't be an overstatement to say that Rolex makes the best luxury dive watches in the watchmaking industry. Unveiled in 2020, the maison launches a subtly upgraded version of their most iconic timepiece—the Submariner Date. Given their reputation for sticking to the classics, this reference 126610LV showcases that even minor differences can deliver a power-packed punch.
Off the bat, the biggest difference can be observed on the lugs - it is slimmer than previous generations of Submariners. This update promises a comfortable fit on the wrist. The 41mm Rolex is forged in their signature, corrosion-resistant Oystersteel. The black dial bears the bold luminescent index hour markers and Mercedes hands, also in lume. The date window at three is magnified by a Cyclops lens over it. Mounting this luxury sports watch is the moss-green Cerachrom bezel. While the appearance received a leaner profile, the reason for enthusiasts to buy this variation lies in the movement.
The automatic calibre 3235 is technologically superior to the previous Submariner mechanism; the same calibre used in Sea-Dweller and Datejust 41. It generates a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and is water resistant up to 300m. This Submariner boasts all the classic elements of the previous generation, that we all love and admire, with slight upgrades.
Please note that this Rolex Submariner 126610LV has minor nicks on the case, caseback, bracelet, and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
