With all the requisites of an ideal diver’s watch, Rolex’s unparalleled precision, and 300m water resistance, the desirability and efficacy on offer here is beyond splendid.
Why we love it
The Submariner is one of the most acclaimed collections by Rolex, known for its impeccable reliability as a diver’s watch. Over the years, it has been graced with several updates and modifications, yet comparatively, it is the least changed model in Rolex’s repertoire. The reference 16610T was first introduced in 1987 and was in production till the 2000s.
Its stainless steel case measures 40mm, featuring brushed and polished finishes and well-proportioned heft. Thanks to the size and elegant appeal, the watch offers great wearability. On the clean, legible dial, we are welcomed by a stark black display featuring an orderly arrangement through luminous hour markers and the signature text in a contrasting white hue. The date window is tucked at its characteristic three o’clock position, and the bezel is unidirectional.
The 300 metres of water resistance and automatic movement deliver high functionality. The self-winding calibre 3135 provides a power autonomy of 48 hours. The elegant construction and the simple design elements allow this Rolex Submariner to transition effortlessly between formal and casual looks and occasions.
This Rolex Submariner 16610T-BLK carry visible scratches on the sapphire crystal glass. In addition, a few noticeable scratches are also present on the bezel and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
