Rolex champions discreet luxury with an understated white gold rendition of the Yacht-Master that looks quite handsome with the bold Oysterflex bracelet.
Why we love it
Nobody brings excellence and luxury in as stunning packages as Rolex. The introduction of the Oysterflex bracelet in 2015 was a big step for the maison towards embracing contemporary watchmaking, and we were all for it. This reference M226659, released in 2019, takes this story of adaptation forward. It was the first Yacht-Master cast in white gold, presented in a larger size of 42mm.
However, except for these details, most of the specs on the watch remain unchanged. It features curvier lugs, a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel with a sandblasted finish, and a bold Oysterflex bracelet. Its legible black dial is furnished with luminous hour indexes and signature Mercedess hands, all rendered in 18k white gold. The three o'clock marker is predictably occupied by the date window.
Internally, this Rolex Yacht-Master carries the latest-generation self-winding calibre 3235. It features the newly-developed Chronergy escapement made from anti-magnetic nickel-phosphorous. Further, it comes fitted with a Parachrom hairspring that makes the whole construction resistant to magnetism and temperature. It is a Superlative Chronometer that provides a 70-hour power reserve.
Except for negligible marks on the case and caseback, this Rolex Yacht-Master M226659-BLKIND, purchased in 2023, shows excellent condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
