This limited-edition Seiko Prospex will make a great partner on your next maritime adventure with a robust case and a handsome design.
Why we love it
Seiko forayed into the world of diver watches in 1965 by introducing Japan’s first diver watch. Ever since the brand has engineered state-of-the-art diver watches in the Prospex collection. Designed to work for the recreational as well as professional divers, Prospex watches have been through a number of iterations to offer something new and relevant constantly. Introduced in a limited edition series of 2018 watches, this Ref. SPB081J1 retains the ergonomic character of the collection.
The lush dial of the SPB081J1 comes in an amazing shade of green featuring a gradient tint that catches attention. With the movement of the wrist, subtle shades of green meet the eye in peaceful harmony. The dial subtly elevates this timepiece that’s as perfect for a cocktail party as it is for a dip into the pool. Housing the dial are luminous hour indexes and hands promising high legibility, minute markers around the outer rim, and a date window at 3 o’clock.
The rotating bezel, the crown, and the sapphire glass keep the 200m water-resistant case super functional. It is constructed using polished steel in a notable size of 42.5 mm. The equally smooth and lustrous bracelet in steel is secured with a folding clasp.
The 6R15 movement is constructed with 23 jewels and provides a 50-hour power reserve. This automatic-winding movement makes this Propex SPB081J1 a highly-reliable, power-packed Seiko!
Please note that this Seiko Prospex SPB081J1 comes with a few visible signs of wear. There are some scratches on the case back, bracelet, and clasp. One of the lugs is slightly faded.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
