Among all iterations of this iconic timepiece, the Monaco Calibre 11 sits highest in the pecking order.
Why we love it
TAG Heuer Monaco is one of the world's most popular watches, the first automatic chronograph to be ever made, and the first square chronograph to hit the watch landscape. Having shot to fame by the iconic Steve McQueen after he wore one during the filming of Le Mans, this legendary timepiece is an impressive representation of the brand's ingenuity and pioneering spirit.
Presented on a black leather strap, this Monaco Calibre 11 is the closest iteration of the original Heuer Monaco 1133B, released in 1969. It comes in a 39mm satin-brushed stainless steel case with the crown placed characteristically on the left and pushers on the right. It also includes the signature blue dial with silver subdials at three and nine, a date aperture at six, and luminous hands and markers touched by red for a racing slant.
The watch is driven by calibre 11, which has a frequency rate of 28,800bph, contains 59 jewels, and promises a power autonomy of 40 hours. The open caseback allows a glimpse of the movement and its excellent finishing featuring Geneva stripes and a perlage pattern.
Even with a few minor scratches on the case and caseback, this TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 CAW211P.FC6356 promises very good pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
