This Monaco Calibre 11 stands out as the pinnacle among all iterations ever created of this iconic timepiece.
Why we love it
The TAG Heuer Monaco stands as one of the world's most sought-after timepieces, notable for the first square chronograph to grace the watch scene. It gained widespread recognition when iconic actor Steve McQueen sported one during the filming of Le Mans in 1969, solidifying its legendary status and showcasing the brand's innovative spirit.
This Monaco Calibre 11 iteration pays homage to the original Heuer Monaco 1133B released in 1969. Encased in a 39mm satin-brushed stainless steel case, it retains the iconic crown placement on the left and pushers on the right. The watch features a signature blue dial with silver subdials at three and nine, a date window at six, and luminous hands and markers with touches of red for a racing-inspired design.
Powering the timepiece is calibre 11, boasting a frequency rate of 28,800vph, 59 jewels, and a power reserve of 40 hours. The open caseback offers a view of the movement's intricate details, including Geneva stripes and a perlage pattern, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship synonymous with TAG Heuer.
This TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 CAW211P.FC6356 has scratches on the case, buckle, and caseback. The leather strap is in satisfactory condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
