We are never getting over this smashing Monaco Gulf Special Edition. It speaks the language of luxe style with clever design cues and a memorable shape. TAG Heuer at its best!
Why we love it
Of all the Monaco Gulf special editions ever introduced by TAG Heuer, none has been as thrilling and smashing as this one. It was first released in 2018 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first victory of a Gulf car in the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans race. With recognisable design cues and irresistible Monaco signatures, the watch is an icon akin to Steve McQueen, who actually put it on the map after flaunting a Monaco on his wrist in the movie classic – Le Mans.
Even a casual glimpse is enough to tell us that this TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition CAW211R.FC6401 is no ordinary watch. Employing the particulars of the two brands, this reference features the characteristic 39mm square stainless steel case with the crown on the left and the light blue and orange Gulf stripes on the right of the dial. Even the sturdy leather strap is on the Gulf game, adorned in a blue hue contrasted by bright orange perceptible stitches along the edges.
Calibre 11, based on Sellita SW300-1, comes to the forefront to power this special timepiece. Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, this automatic movement beats at a frequency of 28800 BPH and guarantees a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. On the dial, lume-filled hour markers and hands and the sub-registers at 3 and 9 o’clock augment the functionality of this reference.
If you are interested in a cool, heritage-heavy timepiece, you simply can go wrong with this special edition TAG Heuer watch.
This TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition CAW211R.FC6401 promises a very good condition with negligible scuffs on the case and a well-kept strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
