READ FULL STORYJohn Wick: Chapter 4 is here! The fourth instalment of the riveting action-packed franchise hit theatres yesterday, and the internet is already swarmed with reviews. The verdict? It just keeps getting better. Keanu Reeves returns as the quiet and dangerous assassin with a few familiar faces —Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne and Lance Reddick — and many new ones — Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, and Bill Skarsgard.
The association between the John Wick franchise and Carl F. Bucherer watches is no news to watch enthusiasts. After Omega and James Bond, it’s probably the next most exciting alliance of movies and timepieces. In 2021, while Chapter 4 was still filming, Carl F. Bucherer CEO Sascha Moeri posted a picture on Instagram with Keanu Reeves on the set. He mentioned in his caption that Reeve would again be wearing the Manero AutoDate. Also, we’ll see him in the Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta.

John Wick: Chapter 1, 2014
Keanu Reeves wore the Manero AutoDate in steel with a white dial in the first John Wick flick. One could spot the watch in multiple scenes throughout the movie. However, it was comparatively a very subtle appearance, as since Chapter 2, the placement of the watch kept becoming much more prominent.

John Wick: Chapter 2, 2017
John Wick: Chapter 2’s premiere in Arc Light Theater Hollywood was dominated by Carl F. Bucherer timepieces. The event was a star-studded affair with many A-listers in attendance. Keanu Reeves wore a Patravi TravelTec II in steel for the occasion, whereas director and long-time Carl F. Bucherer ambassador Chad Stahelski sported a Patravi TravelTec in rose gold. In the movie, Reeve once more paired his tailored suits with the elegant Manero AutoDate. Ian McShane, who plays Winston, was also spotted wearing Manero AutoDate in steel with a black dial and strap. Rap star and musician Common, who played the antagonist Cassian in Chapter 2, wore the Patravi ScubaTec in steel.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, 2019
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum was where Carl F. Bucherer watches garnered the most attention. Akin to the previous two films, Reeves continued flaunting the Manero AutoDate, a 38mm automatic watch in stainless steel with a white dial. Halle Berry, who played Sofia – a close friend and fellow assassin of Wick, wore the Manero Peripheral. The model sported by Berry was a 40mm stainless steel timepiece powered by an automatic in-house calibre A2050. The watch came decked with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel and featured a cognac-brown mother-of-pearl dial.
But what earned the most applause from the watch community was a scene towards the end of the movie. It is where Reeves is fighting under a glass cupola on the Continental Hotel’s roof. Midst the action, one could see Carl F. Bucherer product movies and animation running behind the glass walls for more than 10 minutes. It was the finest example of subtle and meaningful product placement in movies. Very effortless. Very original.
The premiere of Chapter 3 – Parabellum, held in New York City, was attended by CEO Sascha Moeri, director Chad Stahelski, stunt actor Daniel Bernhardt, and stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave, all wearing Carl F. Bucherer watches.
We are very eager to get gripped by the fast-paced world of John Wick: Chapter 4, where, as one would expect, is lots of chasing, stabbing, shooting, and hopefully Carl F. Bucherer.
