This Tudor Black Bay Chrono delivers contemporary functions in a sophisticated, vintage look - a combination we can't seem to get over.
Why we love it
This Tudor Black Bay Chrono is a modern watch underscored by a vintage ethos. Originally, the Black Bay Chrono collection was introduced in 2017 as the first chronograph to become a part of the Black Bay family of diver watches. After a steel and gold version released in 2019, Tudor brought a sublime, vintage-inspired iteration of the Chrono in 2021, the one we are crushing on today - reference M79360N. Now, this one is loaded with a few novelties that make it a tad more desirable. The well-proportioned 41mm steel case is thinner than the previous models with 14.4mm thickness. A combination of a brushed finish with polished chamfered edges gives the watch an elegant feel. It features a domed sapphire crystal and is water-resistant to 200m. The bezel carries a black aluminium disc featuring a tachymeter scale.
The other element that contributes to the enhanced appeal of this reference is the panda dial - perhaps one of the most loved details of any chronograph watch. With a light sheen, the dial features luminous markers complimented by the signature snowflake hands. The two-register chronograph with a 45-minute counter is placed horizontally, letting the date aperture sit at six. The red-tipped seconds hand and the water resistance mark add a touch of colour to the dial.
The Tudor Black Bay Chrono is powered by the COSC-certified calibre MT5813, an automatic movement with bi-directional winding, 4Hz frequency, and 70 hours of power reserve. Interestingly, the chronograph complication used in this Manufacture calibre has been sourced from Breitling and comes with a silicon hairspring.
This Tudor Black Bay Chrono M79360N-0001 comes in mint condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
