Tudor’s linchpin Black Bay gets updated with a green bezel and impressive nuances in this special edition designed exclusively for UK’s most popular luxury department store — Harrods.
Why we love it
Tudor created a brand new version of its popular Heritage Black Bay for the UK’s most loved luxury department store — Harrods, in 2016. This special edition is a classic Black Bay reference M79230 with recognisable elements as well as unique nuances that pay homage to Harrods. Hence, the case is a predictable 41mm rendered in steel, and the dial gives room to the iconic Snowflake hands — a key detail in Tudor diving watches. House patrons will also take an instant fancy to the domed crystal and clean, luminous markers.
Visual accents that nod to Harrods and its legacy form the highlight of this watch. First and foremost, the bezel comes adorned in a shade of green as a tribute to Harrod’s signature green colour scheme. In a similar vein, the tip of the seconds-hand and text on the dial carries a green shade. One must also notice that, unlike other models, this special edition adds the depth rating with the measurement in feet first, followed by metres — indicating Harrod’s British roots. Lastly, the solid steel caseback gives the Harrods H logo a pride of place, accompanied by a unique watch number that’s inspired by the early military watches produced by Tudor.
The calibre powering this Tudor watch is the automatic MT5601. With 70 hours of power reserve and a whopping 200 metres water resistance level, this Tudor Heritage Black Bay Harrods Special Edition is a luxurious timepiece that garners high praise for its stylish and wearable look.
Please note this Tudor Black Bay Harrods Special Edition M79230G-0001 shows light scratches on the case, caseback, bracelet, and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
