A robust and innovative timepiece that perfectly reflects Ulysse Nardin’s maritime inclinations. Armed with a good-looking dial and reliable movement, the watch presents an ideal blend of form and function.
Why we love it
This Diver Black Sea perfectly embodies Ulysse Nardin’s penchant for the marine world. It is extraordinary in design and functionality. Its ergonomic form, nautical design elements, and robustness manifest watchmaking requisites as well as the maison’s superlative craftsmanship.
Measuring 45.8mm in diameter, this reference 353-90 is crafted from stainless steel and carries substantial thickness that results in a dominating wrist presence. It is coated with vulcanised black rubber all over, along with the pushers and the crown. The use of rubber coating is a practical choice to aid the watch’s 200m water resistance capability. Further, the bezel is characteristically unidirectional with a wave-like pattern adorned on it as a nautical nod.
The dial of this Ulysse Nardin watch is quite characterful with a sand-like texture and touches of red and blue that create a vibrant contrast to the otherwise black look. The chronograph counters are assembled horizontally with slightly raised contours and recessed centres. The luminous blue index markers and handset with a date aperture between four and five o’clock complete the dial. Self-winding calibre UN-35 powers this Diver Black Sea. It’s an automatic movement with a power reserve of 42 hours.
This Ulysse Nardin Diver Black Sea 353-90 is in excellent pre-owned condition. It comes with a robust case and a rubber strap. A few light scratches are visible on the folding clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
