If you think the watch’s front is artistic, wait till you have turned it around. This limited edition Diver Chronograph celebrates the maison’s partnership with the Swedish team—Artemis Racing.
Why we love it
Ulysse Nardin has a long maritime history, hence it was only fitting when the maison collaborated with the Swedish sailing team—Artemis Racing as their official partner in 2015. For the 2017 America's Cup, the brand released a limited edition Diver Chronograph. This Ref. 353-98LE-3/ARTEMIS is a wonderful diver watch that honours Artemis Racing through vivid details and imagery; case in point—the solid case back featuring the team in action.
Measuring 45.8mm in diameter, the case is crafted from stainless steel and carries notable thickness that results in a dominating wrist presence. It is coated with matte blue rubber all over, along with the pushers and the crown. The use of rubber coating is a utilitarian selection to aid the watch’s 200m water resistance capability. Further, the bezel is characteristically unidirectional with a wave-like pattern adorned on it as a nautical nod.
The dial of this reference is quite characterful, with touches of yellow creating a vibrant contrast to the otherwise all-blue look. Meticulous engravings of the Artemis Racing catamaran are spread across the dial, and the team’s logo can be seen centring the 30-minute counter at nine o’clock. The luminous markers and handset with a date aperture between four and five o’clock complete the dial.
The self-winding calibre UN-35 powers this Diver Chronograph. Assembled on a Swiss ETA base, this automatic movement boasts a power reserve of 42 hours.
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
