This Ulysse Nardin Marine is just the perfect dive watch for enthusiasts who love intricate nuances and detailing.
Why we love it
Marine-inspired timepieces from Ulysse Nardin are a category of watches worth collecting. And while each carries such distinct elements and wow factors, this reference 1503-151-3/93 is one desirable piece of watchmaking.
Measuring 44mm in diameter, this Marine Diver features a polished stainless steel case. It is decked with shapely lugs designed to wrap the wrist most effortlessly, rubber-coated pushers and the crown, and an ergonomic appeal that is further strengthened by the dial. The wave pattern bestrides the dial like a colossus, hammering home the watch's marine vein. Adding a sense of subtle contrast are the sub-dials, which carry a distinct texture of concentric circles and complement the colour palette. The sensible touches of black hues and luminescence on the markers and hands provide a heightened level of legibility. On the other hand, the addition of a tone-on-tone tachymeter scale on the perimeter and the date aperture elevate functionality. Overall, the nautical aura this Ulysse Nardin is supposed to exude is well echoed by the dial and case aesthetics.
Powering this watch is the in-house calibre UN-150. Boasting 48 hours of power reserve, this automatic movement can be enjoyed through the sapphire crystal caseback, where the oscillating weight shines with a blue medallion made of DIAMonSIL - a combination of diamond and silicon, and engraved with the brand logo.
Please note this Ulysse Nardin Marine Diver shows light scratches on the case, caseback, and clasp. Its rubber strap is in satisfactory condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
