Stellar details and functions characterise this Urwerk. Among the many distinctive features of this UR-100V are the groundbreaking astronomical indications displayed at two and 10 o’clock. But, what are they?
Why we love it
Urwerk is known to make some truly incredible timepieces that take watchmaking beyond mere time-telling and into the realms of astronomy and chronometry. Its UR-Satellite collection carries not only the iconic wandering-hour complication but also astronomical indicators, and this UR-100V Iron manifests both along with more novel details. While every Urwerk timepiece evokes awe, this model takes the magic a notch higher with its stealthy monochromatic look. Fully metallic, rendered in stainless steel and titanium, the watch features subtle touches of colour on the dial that are aesthetically complemented by the blue suede strap.
Along with measuring hours and minutes, this Urwerk watch also measures the distance covered by a person on the equator and the distance covered by the earth around the sun in 20 minutes. While the distance covered on the earth is displayed at ten o’clock, the distance covered by the earth can be seen at two o’clock. Apart from the spectacular display, attention to detail and craftsmanship are also show-stoppers here. The bevelled screws, sanded surfaces and ridging on the case sides are equally impressive.
Driving this stunning timepiece is the self-winding calibre UR 12.02, visible through the caseback. It comes with a full, drilled rotor that is regulated by a planetary flat turbine to help minimise shocks to the rotor bearing as well as wear and tear. The calibre beats at a frequency of 28,800 bph and promises a power reserve of 48 hours.
Except for some negligible scuffs on the case, this Urwerk UR-Satellite UR-100V is in excellent pre-owned condition featuring a well-maintained blue suede strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
