Vacheron Constantin reinforces the Traditionnelle collection with an elegant white gold iteration featuring an understated representation of the complete calendar.
Why we love it
Vacheron Constantin is one of the few haute horlogerie brands whose catalogue is rife with triple or complete calendar watches. These timepieces, while being packed with technical advancements, also manage to complement the maison’s design DNA without being too similar. The Traditionnelle collection goes back to the 18th century for inspiration featuring a design that speaks of elegance with clean lines, polished surfaces, and uncluttered organisation of complications.
This reference 4010T/000G-B740 was added to the Traditionnelle family in 2021 as a white gold iteration with a slate grey dial. The triple calendar is added so meticulously on the dial one can barely feel the presence of several complications. The dial with an understated colour palette and the clean execution is where this watch really shines. As typical with a complete calendar, the reference shows the day of the week, month, the date on the periphery indicated by a pointer hand, and a 122-year accurate moonphase display that also shows the age of the moon via Arabic numerals running from 0 to 29½. The faceted hands and white gold indices bear evidence of the maison’s unparalleled craftsmanship.
It’s powered by an in-house calibre 2460 QCL/1 that bolsters the triple calendar complication as well as the high-precision moonphase. It’s a self-winding movement, 29mm in diameter and 5.40mm in thickness. It ensures a 40-hour power reserve and is beautifully designed with a gold, skeletonised rotor and Geneva stripes.
Please note that this Vacheron Constantin Traditionelle Complete Calendar 4010T/000G-B740 has visible scratches and dents on the crystal, case, and caseback. Yet, it is in good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
